Make your voice heard!
This November, Prior Lake voters will decide whether to approve a local ballot referendum proposing a property tax increase to help fund the city’s $60 million plan to improve its park and trail system. Residents have played a key role in shaping the plan and will have the final say when they cast their ballots on or before Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
There are three ways to vote on the referendum:
Early in Person:
Prior Lake residents can vote early in-person starting Friday, September 19 until Monday, November 3, 2025 at City Hall:

Hours: Monday-Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Extended Hours: Saturday, November 1 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), Monday, November 3 (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Early by Mail:
City residents can request an absentee ballot by completing an absentee ballot application.
Requested absentee ballots will
be mailed out beginning Friday, September 19. This mailing will include instructions for how to complete and return your ballot.Completed ballots must be returned by Election Day to be counted.
On Election Day:
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2025. City residents can vote in-person on Election Day at their normal polling places between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
